The victim, Afsana Ahmed Eva, also an activist of Socialist Students’ Front, stayed the whole night in front of the hall gate and began hunger strike on Tuesday morning protesting at the eviction.

Afsana on Tuesday alleged that BCL leaders and activists had been threatening her to throw her out of the hall since January 4 and she informed the provost about the threatening on January 5 and submitted a written complaint on January 7.
BAU BCL activists called her at the guest room of the hall at about 12 midnight on

Tuesday and forcibly threw her out of the hall with her bag and baggage, she added.

On information, BAU proctor Atikur Rahman Khokan went to the hall at about 11.00am, convinced her to give up the hunger strike and sent her back to her seat in the hall at about 4.00pm.

A three-member committee was formed to investigate the matter and it was asked to submit its report within seven days, the proctor said.
