Dhaka University authorities have postponed publishing the results of its admission test for Gha unit without showing any valid reason.
On Monday morning, the authorities issued a press release saying that the results will be published on Tuesday. But hours later, they issued a second press release saying that fresh date of publishing results will be announced soon.

The suspension of publishing result came on the heels of widespread allegation of question paper leak during the admission test held on Friday.

Meanwhile, a section of students of Dhaka University under the banner of ‘Students Against Repression’ demonstrated at the campus demanding cancellation of Friday’s admission test and retaking of the test.

Meanwhile, the university authorities shortly after Saturday midnight filed a case under Digital Security Act against six named accused and many unnamed accomplices alleging that they had leaked 72 questions of ‘Gha Unit’s admission test on Friday.
The case was filed with the Shahbagh police station after the six named accused, all from Bogura, were arrested at the Doel Chattar on the DU campus.

The suspects face the charge of cheating using digital and electronic devices and recording and transferring information after illegally entering into computer system, he said.

The question paper of Dhaka University admission test, held on Friday, was leaked 43 minutes before the tests commenced, the admission seekers and guardians said.

A total of 95,341 candidates appeared at this year’s admission test for the Gha Unit offering 1,615 seats.
