Garment industry workers are continuing agitation in rejection of the revised pay structure.
Several thousand workers continued demonstration on the Dhaka-Tangail highway this morning since 9:00am and tried to put up a blockade, our Savar correspondent reports.
As reported, there were workers of at least 10 factories in the agitation. Industrial police had removed them from the road during initial attempts.

THE LATEST POLICY DEVELOPMENT
Yesterday, after nearly one and half months of protests, the government revised the pay structure for the garments industry workers giving a raise between Tk 15 to Tk 786.
This revision was the raise from the new wage board put into effect from December 2018.
Meanwhile, apparel industry workers have threatened the workers to shut down the factories if they do not return to work from today (Monday).
